What an amazing location in Hocking Hills. You could easily spend your entire trip on this property and never feel the need to leave. We stayed at the Booker cabin and were in love from the moment we pulled up.
The cabin is the perfect size for a couple, with a huge shower, an incredibly comfortable king bed, and a cozy movie theater room with the most comfortable chairs ever. The hot tub/pool setup was a first for us and we absolutely loved it. We spent hours on the pool deck, laying out during the day and then turning up the heat at night to relax in the hot tub under beautiful star-filled skies.
It was peaceful, private, and exactly the kind of getaway we were hoping for. We seriously cannot wait to come back. A couple of minor nitpicks: the process of signing the reservation contract and reviewing all the rules might feel like a lot for some guests, but it is clear this is part of what keeps the property so immaculate and well cared for.
The shower controls were a bit tricky to figure out at first, and we discovered one handle was loose from a missing screw, but the other handle worked perfectly and it didn’t take away from our experience at all. A few tips for future guests: bring your own cooking oils, seasonings, and any pantry items you like if you plan to cook. Coffee, ice, and essentially every kitchen appliance you could think of are already provided, so you’ll have everything you need to enjoy meals at the cabin.
The property was beautiful & surreal! Plenty of space for 16 of us for our family reunion. The large kitchen table comfortably seated all of us and we were able to eat & socialize. Trails are walking distance from the house and easy to access.
Hocking Hills is only a 30 minute drive. The bedrooms were spacious & clean. The pool & hot tub were very clean & easily accessible! Highly recommend! And we’ll probably be back again to celebrate our family gathering!.
My wife and I stayed there this past weekend to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary. It was everything we could have imagined from the sauna, to the custom shower, to hot tub, to the gas grill. It is the PERFECT place for couple looking to get away and spend some time.
You really feel like you are in some far away place (we live in Columbus). We spent a ton of time outside on the patio enjoying the amazing views. I would HIGHLY recommend the Basil Hayden cabin.
We loved it so much we have already booked it again for a future trip. The management team was easy to work with and very responsive to our questions. Travel tip-we love watching tv outside so we brought our own! Terry and KP.
Bourbon Ridge was an absolute dream! From the moment we drove onto the property we felt as though we had been whisked away to our own private retreat! No detail was spared. They were able to accommodate an earlier arrival which allowed us to enjoy a lovely afternoon relaxing and taking advantage of the amazing amenities. Morning coffee on the patio, beautiful walks around the pond and grounds, relaxing in the hot tub and finishing with a sauna after our hike was exceptional.
It may be one of the absolute best getaways we have very experienced. We will most definitely be visiting again!.
We enjoyed Basil Hayden cabin for our 20th anniversary. The cabin was private and relaxing. This was the cleanest and most well stocked cabin we have rented so far! We enjoyed local caves and also walking around the trails near the cabin.
